So another week fades into the rearview mirror of my life and what were the highlights this week? Well, I can’t say it was the weather and, yet, we had some lovely warm sunny days.
-
I’ve cooked from scratch dinners all this week in an effort to get back to some sort of regular healthy eating patterns. Everything from Dijon chicken & pasta to spaghetti Bolognese, and my version of hash browns.
-
Wednesday I got a call from the Apple shop to let me know my replacement Apple pencil had arrived and was available for collection.
-
Well, of course I was excited and took a two-bus trip Thursday morning to go collect it. I was a little disturbed that I had to pay $44 as I was technically a few weeks past my warranty. But hey, I though that’s okay. I had the other pencil for 3 years.
-
Also on Thursday morning, I snuck in a trip to the Botanic Gardens before hitting the mall. And went walkabout amongst what was left of the spring flowers and blossoms. So rejuvenating.
-
Sadly, I couldn’t get the replacement pencil to charge. It was as dead as Monty Python’s proverbial parrot. So I had to go back to Apple on Friday and go through a couple of hours of back and forth with the staff there, seeing seven people in total before I finally got given another pencil.
-
Saturday I was flying solo as the OH had commitments, so I took the opportunity to binge watch some TV thanks to the fact Apple, because of the ‘new’ pencil, gave me 3 months free TV. Gee, thanks, Apple.
Watched this week:
-
We finished S2 of A Good Girls’ Guide to Murder, which directly followed on from S1. But, frustratingly, still without any resolution.
-
We started watching You’re Killing Me on Acorn TV, starring Brooke Shields and, well, I hope it improves. Everyone seems to be trying to hard for the laughs.
-
We also squoze in the first season of a Norwegian show called Wisting because Carrie Anne Moss was in it. And while the first half of the season was interesting enough chasing an American serial killer running loose in Larvik (near Oslo), the rest turned out to be rather tedious.
-
I also started watching both S5 of For All Mankind and S2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters on Apple. I’ll let you know how I get on.
And you, what have you been up to this week?
